A gentle Hatha Flow style yoga class taught by Physiotherapist Hattie Pullen.
The class is designed for people living with a health condition or anyone in rehabilitation from illness or injury. It is also ideal for anyone who wishes to start or build a Yoga practice but doesn’t feel able to attend a "normal" Yoga class for whatever reason.
The class provides a friendly and welcoming atmosphere in which to explore and improve strength, flexibility and balance. Each class will include physical postures and sequences of movements, meditation, breathing practices and a guided relaxation, and will incorporate a variety of lying, standing, kneeling on all 4's, sitting on the floor, lying face up/face down/on our sides on mats. You use yoga props (blocks, straps, blankets & bolsters) and chairs, and Hattie provides plenty of options for each pose. To attend this class you need to be able to get on and off the floor unassisted, and ideally tolerate kneeling on hands and knees on a soft surface for a 1-2 minutes.
All new students will be asked to complete a Health Screening Questionnaire which helps Hattie to get to know you before the class, and so provide the best options for poses for you during class.
